For a huge Lakers fan, there was no other color choices than Purple and Gold! We had chosen the perfect gold and purple papers but were unable to find a patterned paper that had the perfect Laker’s colors. Our solution was to custom design a masculine stripe pattern that was used for the invitation and envelope liner (and matched up perfectly when the invitation was in the envelope!). The front of the invitation is typeset to have a formal and elegant feel while the back of the invitation had the inserts tucked into a pocket that created a youthful, sporty feel the Bar Mitzvah boy wanted! The perfect giveaway for a Laker themed Bar Mitzvah? A gold duffel bag with Sammy’s “Laker” logo on it! This was a giveaway sure to be used over and over again!

For a wedding being planned by David Tutera that was taking place at the Atlantis in the Bahamas, the invitation needed to be very dramatic. Jessica and Eric also knew that they wanted BLING! Placing a modern block font next to an extremely ornate script was the foundation for the dramatic look that we created for this invitation, which was then silk screened onto mirrored lucite. The insert cards were foil stamped in a matching aqua color on white metallic paper. All parts were adorned with Swarovski crystals to add a lot of extra sparkle. The invitation was then mounted into a custom shantung silk box which was adorned with a silk ribbon and crystal buckle. The silk box was wrapped in shimmering tissue, placed in a white mailing box and wrapped with a large silver band foil stamped with their return address and calligraphed with the guest’s names and addresses. Custom stamps completed the look and set the tone for this destination wedding. The programs, menus, table numbers and escort cards were printed in the same aqua color on white metallic paper.

Not only was Austin a die-hard Basketball fan, but so was his whole family! Incorporating basketballs was a MUST, as was sending out an elegant invitation to this black tie event. The invitation itself was engraved in silver on navy metallic paper, then layered onto a light silver paper that had a basketball pattern lightly printed on it. Everything was put together in a metallic charcoal pocketfold and finished with a basketball covered silver seal. The result was the perfect blend of classiness and a passion for basketball!

Henry’s mom came to us with many samples of invitations made out of Lucite which were very sleek and contemporary. She loved this look but did not want send out an invitation that looked like what everyone else had done. Using a brushed silver metallic paper that actually looks like metal and duplexing it to ultra-thick black mat board made this invitation unique, while using modern fonts and square bullets made the invitation modern. It was the mailing of the invitation though that created the impact; it was sent in a black bubble mailer with coordinating brushed silver metallic labels! To say their guests were “wowed” is an understatement!

After showing us different images of invitations she had found online that she liked, we used different elements from each and put it all together to create the look and feel she wanted. We used a beautiful, ornate, Italian-made paper and Victorian ornamental designs for the layout. The invitation was letterpressed onto cream cardstock and the envelope was lined in the Italian paper. The invitation then slipped into a navy sleeve which was also wrapped with the Italian paper. The wrap then held the inserts on the back of the sleeve. The resulting invitation was as elegant as Kristen had envisioned!

Susan came to us as a DIY bride who had done her research! She was planning on just purchasing paper from us and taking care of the printing and assembly. Ultimately she decided to have us design and print the invitation although she did take care of all of the assembly! The main design element of her invitation was a silhouette she had commissioned someone to do. We also incorporated small butterflies throughout the suite because she is known for loving them! A wide coordinating blue satin ribbon wrapped around the invitation, adding an extra touch of elegance to the front and a way to hold the insert cards in the back. The resulting invitation was a perfect reflection of the bride and groom and the casual yet elegant affair they were having!
